Oahu Luxury Vacation Rentals
Hawaii Hideaways offers luxury Oahu vacation rentals — private beachfront and oceanfront homes in Kailua, Lanikai, Diamond Head, and Portlock for families and small groups who want more space and privacy than a Waikiki hotel. Homes range from four-bedroom beach houses to eight-bedroom estates suited to about 8–16 guests, and our destination experts personally know each home.
Many Oahu homes are offered for longer stays, and a few allow weekly stays — shorter stays are available on request, so tell us your dates and we will match homes that fit. Submit an inquiry or call 808-878-8559; a Hawaii Destination Expert will respond in less than 1 hour during business hours.
Who these homes are for
- Multigenerational families who want grandparents, parents, and kids under one roof near a calm beach
- Friend and family groups of roughly 8–16
- Milestone trips: birthdays, anniversaries, and celebrations that want a private lawn or lanai
- Families spending an extended stretch on Oahu — a month-long winter or summer stay in a real home
- Travelers who want beachfront living with Complimentary Concierge Planning — we arrange recommendations and bookings; services you choose (grocery pre-stocking, housekeeping, private chef, and similar) are billed separately
Travel agents are welcome to inquire on behalf of clients.

Where to stay on Oahu

Kailua (Windward Oahu)
Long, soft-sand Kailua Beach with calm water much of the year, kayaking to the Mokulua islands, and a relaxed town with cafés and shops. Our largest concentration of Oahu beachfront homes is here (for example Timeless Jewel, Kailua Nani, Kailua Bliss, Kailua Kai). A strong pick for families with young kids.

Lanikai
A small, quiet residential enclave next to Kailua with one of Hawaii’s most photographed beaches and sunrise views over the Mokes. Homes such as Hale Lanikai, Lanikai Oasis, and Moku Iki suit families who want a peaceful beach-house feel.

Diamond Head / Kahala
Oceanfront living minutes from Waikiki dining and shopping, Kapiolani Park, and Diamond Head hikes. Honeyed Jade (8 bedrooms, sleeps 16) is our flagship here — ideal when your group wants city access with estate privacy.

Portlock / Hawaii Kai (East Oahu)
Dramatic oceanfront cliffs, sunsets, and quick access to Hanauma Bay and the scenic east coast drive. Sea Cliff Chic fits groups of up to about 12.
Want the North Shore or Ko Olina? Ask — we can research options for your dates, though our listed Oahu homes are on the Windward and South/East shores.

Oahu vacation rental FAQs
- Can I rent an Oahu vacation home for less than 30 days?Oahu▾
Rules on Oahu vary by home and permit. Many of our Oahu homes are offered monthly, a few allow weekly stays, and shorter stays are available on request. Share your dates and we will tell you which homes fit.
- Is Kailua or Waikiki better for a family vacation?Oahu▾
For families and groups of 8–16, Kailua and Lanikai usually win: calmer beaches, real houses with yards and kitchens, and a quieter neighborhood. Waikiki is about 30 minutes away for dinners and shopping. If you want city access, a Diamond Head home splits the difference.
- What is the best beach house area on Oahu for kids and grandparents?Oahu▾
Kailua Beach and Lanikai for gentle water and easy beach access; Diamond Head if mobility or proximity to Honolulu matters most. We match the house to ages and mobility needs.
- How far ahead should we book an Oahu beachfront home for 8–16 guests?Oahu▾
Plan 6–12 months out for holidays and summer; shoulder seasons are more flexible.
- What is Complimentary Concierge Planning?Oahu▾
We help plan recommendations and arrangements at no planning fee. The services themselves are paid separately when you book them.
- Do you only list what’s on the website?Oahu▾
No. We can research additional homes, including pocket listings. Call 808-878-8559 or inquire with your dates, headcount, and preferred area. Travel agents are welcome.
