The Maui Ocean Center….Fun for all ages!

Take a journey of discovery with Hawaii Hideaways, be amazed at the beauty of Hawaii’s underwater world, and learn something new! Visitors go to the Maui Ocean Center to see awesome animals and experience Hawaii’s incredible underwater world. Maui Ocean Center’s goal at the aquarium is to create a lifelong bond between people and the ocean, not only in understanding, but in ultimate appreciation. There are a verity of things to do at the center!!!!

Education Programs include: Naturalist Presentations, school field trips, private naturalist tours, public and private sleepovers, mobile aquarium and Sea Talks. We also have special promotions throughout the year like our annual Coral Spawning event where visitors can witness the secret sex lives of corals.

Dine Maui Ocean Center: Dining options at Maui Ocean Center range from a quick snack at the open-air Reef Café to a sit-down lunch at the ocean-view Seascape Ma’alaea Restaurant. The aquarium and the restaurant are also available for private functions in the evenings. For spectacular views and island-inspired cuisine, Maui Ocean Center’s Seascape Ma’alaea Restaurant, open daily for lunch at 11am, is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Fronting the picturesque harbor village of Ma’alaea, visitors enjoy dramatic views while dining on exquisite cuisine, exceptionally prepared and served.

The Seascape Ma’alaea Restaurant is a heart-healthy as well as ocean-friendly dining option, having removed trans-fats from all of its menu items, as well as following Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch Program, serving only seafood off the program’s Best Choices and Good Alternatives lists. Entrance to the Seascape Ma’alaea Restaurant is available through the aquarium, or without aquarium admission through the entrance by the adjacent shopping center.

The Reef Café On the lighter side of dining at the Maui Ocean Center, the Reef Café offers a delightful take-out assortment of light snacks and drinks, hot daily specials, and desserts. Located in the center of the marine park, Reef Café is open from 10am to 4:30pm.

Banquets and Group Events Maui Ocean Center offers the most unique venue for an exciting and educational day tour or an exclusive and unforgettable evening event.
