Maui’s Hidden Hot Spot….Swinging Bridges! Explore with friends and family…

Waihee, Maui swinging bridges vacation destination
Swinging Bridges - Waihee Valley, Maui-vacation attraction

One of Maui’s hidden hot spots and one of Hawaii Hideaways favorite places , Waihee Valley and “The Swinging Bridges”. If you’re lucky upon your visit to Swinging Bridges there will be light rain, mist-like and normal for a tropical rain forest, which makes hiking very easy to do. This is truly a magical place!

If this sounds like an activity you, your friends or family wish to experience, you take route 340 just past the town of Waihee and take Waihee road. Go a mile until you see no trespassing sign, go right and park. Please be sure to leave all valuables in the trunk of your car and lock all windows. You hike a mile to the first swinging bridge. Most visitors turn around at that point but if you walk both bridges and then hiked until the end where there is a big waterfall. For those dare devils who want to jump off the waterfall, it’s safe but be careful and aware of your surroundings. Most people don’t know that the waterfall is there. There are many trails off to the sides that lead to the ends of waterfalls. To say the least, Hawaii Hideaways promises the experience will be amazing!
