Mix and Mingle with the Stars at the Maui Film Festival

We’re a proud sponsor of the Maui Film Festival. As such, this is the first post of a three-part series on this amazing event. Look out for the other two blogs later this week, and don’t forget to check out our ad in the festival e-book here.

The Maui Film Festival provides more than great cinema in a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.  True, its three venues (Celestial, Castle, and Seaside Cinemas) are some of the more inviting and enchanting movie theaters around. And true, the slate of screenings is eclectic, daring, and, yes, entertaining.

But because of its laid-back vibe and distance from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood, this unique fest, held June 12 through 16, offers filmgoers and filmmakers a chance to interact in ways other fests simply don’t allow.

As writer-director-actor Josh Randor told Variety last year: “Between Q&As and all the press you’re doing (at Sundance), you really don’t have much time to catch your breath.”

But at the Maui Film Festival, there’s plenty of time for interaction—an opportunity owed in part to the array of events orbiting the film screenings. From the Opening Night Twilight Reception (Wed, June 12th, 5:30-7:30pm, Capische? at Hotel Wailea

$150.00) to the Taste of Chocolate (Fri, June 14th, 8:00-10:00pm, Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, $150.00), the fest offers a slew of gatherings for stars and fans alike to mix and mingle.
