The production which already has done several scouts on the Valley and Garden islands will begin five weeks of filming on Maui in mid April and on Kauai in late May. The main bulk of the filming is to take place within the Wailea Beach community.
Given that Adam Sandler did so well with fake marriage before, in “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry,” the comic actor is heading to the non-altar once again. It’s no wonder that the producers and Adam chose Wailea beach on which to film this movie. Wailea Beach is a large, wide, crescent, graced with lovely fine, golden sand. The beach is protected at both ends by large, black lava points, making the calm waters ideal for swimming. Clear blue waves roll into shore and are perfect for riding, with or without a board. An especially pleasant board walk leads to neighboring Polo beach and Mokapu beach to the north..
“[Adam] loves Hawaii,” says his representative. “He loves bringing his friends and family over. He’s a big advocate.”
