Thousands of visitors come every year for the Maui Film Festival. This upcoming 13th annual festival takes place June 13-17. The festival first began as a weekly screening series in 1997 and has grown to an annual event attended by many celebrities such as Dennis Quaid, Clint Eastwood, Olivia Wilde, Zac Efron and even the esteemed Dalai Lama. “With open-air and beachfront screenings, the festival ditches traditional Hollywood devices like black ties and red carpets for leis and flip flops…” Films, special events and entertainment are offered in one of the world’s most spectacular settings. The 2012 festival is shaping up to be the best to date!
