Location: Located towards the end of Makena Alanui Drive. A sign stating “ No Sight Distance†will mark the beginning of the parks approaching on the right. There are 2 entrances with designated parking lots.
Makena Beach is one of Maui’s well known beaches. This large natural state park stretches about two thirds of mile and 100 yards wide.
Definitely one of the locals favorite shore surf spots. It’s a great beach to delight in a brisk walk, enjoy the sunset and catch some of Maui’s sun rays.
The first entrance provides parking, bathroom facilities, picnic areas and lifeguard tower. Strong currents are a regular visitor to this beach, please proceed with caution and review daily posts of conditions.
